About Wandering Roots
Wandering Roots began with a simple curiosity — what could be created from scratch, and what was missing in our local community?
After noticing a lack of truly homemade baked goods made with thoughtful ingredients, what started as experimentation quickly grew into something much bigger: a bakery rooted in quality, intention, and trust.
Owner and founder Britnee brings both lifelong kitchen memories and formal culinary training to every recipe. Although she once stepped away from the idea of baking professionally to prioritize time with family — something traditional restaurant life rarely allows — the pull back to the kitchen never disappeared.
Today, Wandering Roots operates with a clear purpose: to provide small-batch baked goods that feel homemade in the best possible way — because they are.
Every item is crafted in small batches to ensure consistency, freshness, and flavor without unnecessary additives. In July 2025, Wandering Roots became fully committed to eliminating synthetic dyes, using only naturally derived colors from fruit and vegetable sources. This shift was deeply personal after discovering Britnee’s son was sensitive to artificial dyes — and it revealed just how limited dye-free options were in the area.
Offering beautiful, vibrant treats without artificial ingredients is no longer a specialty — it is a standard.
Beyond ingredients, Wandering Roots is built on the belief that enjoying sweets should never feel complicated. With a background in fitness and nutrition coaching, Britnee embraces a philosophy of moderation over restriction — creating space for both celebration and balance.

Wandering Roots is also proudly family-supported. Britnee’s husband Ryan plays an integral role in the business, producing the bakery’s small-batch jams and jellies while continuing his own craftsmanship through Euro Mounts Plus. Together, their work reflects a shared commitment to quality, self-reliance, and community.
